about

Written by Albert Brumley in 1929 and published in 1932, this tremendously popular gospel song is still under copyright for a couple more years. Therefore we cannot sell it. However you can still listen to it.

lyrics

I'll Fly Away (Albert E. Brumley)

1. Some glad morning, when this life is over; I'll fly away
To a home on God's celestial shore; I'll-- fly away

Cho: I'll fly away, Oh glory; I'll fly away
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by
I'll fly away

2. When the shadows of this life have grown; I'll fly away
Like a bird from prison bars have flown; I'll-- fly away

Cho: I'll fly away, Oh glory; I'll fly away
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by
I'll fly away

3. Just a few more weary days and then; I'll fly away
To a land where joys shall never end; I'll-- fly away

Cho: I'll fly away, Oh glory; I'll fly away
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by
I'll fly away

They asked Lisa to sing with them because their voices both stunk and hers was very good. The name "The June Bugs" was chosen after an extensive free-association-by-email. ... more
